Negative Repetitions : Do Negative Reps build muscle?

The main step in gaining strength and volume is to contract the muscles by opposing them with alpha x factor appropriate resistance: this is what is done by mounting a load, that is to say by executing the positive or concentric part of ‘a repetition. However, one can also take advantage of the negative phase (also called negative or eccentric). Indeed, high-level athletes often train negatively. Principle

Negative repetitions create an increase in intensity, which results in a greater muscular response, since the load being lowered is heavier than that which can be lifted. Science teaches us that negative training is ideal for strengthening connective tissue (tendons and ligaments), which can help to avoid muscle injuries. Attention, it must be known that it also causes more painful aching, because the resistance used is greater; however, these stiffnesses indicate that the muscles have undergone greater stress, which increases the potential for microlusion and therefore muscle development. Obviously, the negative is made each time a load is returned to the starting position after being mounted. Moreover, experienced bodybuilders know that they must slowly lower the loads and control them rather than letting them drop without slowing down the movement.

Here are two special methods to increase the intensity of negative repeats. They should be used on an occasional basis and with the utmost precaution.

Assisted Negative Repetitions

Here, the partner helps you to lift a heavier load than your usual load: you run the concentric phase with it, but you have to go down it alone. This technique works especially well for exercises with the bar. For example, when you are doing an assisted rehearsal with the bench press , your partner gives you a hand to raise the bar until the arms reach out, then he releases it and you slowly go down to the chest. You can perform several repetitions this way. It is obvious that your partner must be vigilant and be ready to intervene at any time if you are tired or if you lose control of the load.

Forced negative rehearsals

It is a very intense training method which should be used in moderation to avoid overtraining or muscle injury. It requires an experienced training partner. If we take the example of the bar (with or without help) and when it comes down, the partner presses it, strong enough to amplify the resistance, but not to the point that you can not retain it. It is then necessary to resist, as well as possible, both the gravity and the thrust of your partner. Implementation of this technique requires having a partner with enough experience to feel what pressure one is able to bear and to know when to take control of the bar, if any.

Symptoms of Chlamydia in Men and Women

  1. Pain when urinating;

Less common symptoms

Chlamydia can also manifest in the throat, eyes or rectum when the individual has intimate oral or anal contacts without a condom.
